Well, I think if wind farms needed to pay the same costs and penalties as other systems I wonder what the ROI would be then? We could start with the $200,000 - $500,000 fine per bald eagle -- not to mention someone going to jail for the sheer amount of endangered birds destroyed.

Study: Wind Farms Killed 67 Eagles in 5 Years

Don't see nuclear plants slaughtering animals on this scale.

Why wind farms kill eagles with federal impunity

... Oil companies are prosecuted when a bird drowns in a waste pit. But the Obama administration has never fined or prosecuted a wind-energy company for similar protected bird deaths. An estimated 573,000 birds are killed by US wind farms each year.

Yes, but Gore Jr. is an example of the type of people using the threat of global warming to extort billions of dollars from scared and ignorant politicians. He's the same guy who's father was openly bribed by Armand Hammer with the blood money he laundered for the Soviets through access Al Gore Sr. provided. So bringing Gore Jr to the conversation only emphasizes that his industrial machine was founded on corruption, and continues to display those qualities in the carbon trading "industry".

Unfortunately, we still hear crap about tradition overriding common sense throughout most of the world. The supposedly sane Japanese would gladly drive whole species into extinction with their efforts.

How does one accept responsibility when the only manner to that path in your scenario is to allow someone to kill you? That's insane. Also, I've floated through Oakland enough. Guardian Angel groups in Oakland, not to mention other community organizations, patrol just fine. Just because you want to imply some right to violence for thugs doesn't make it a moral, legal, or compelling argument. You shouldn't get to beat someone to death because their existence pissed you off. You shouldn't be a national icon your parent and others use to make money because the only picture they have of you is (apparently) five years ago. I reflect on all the Black people in my family and friends without once having to denote anyone that has needed to beat someone to death, to date. Why does this person warrant that special permission?
