The beta installs the whole security package. Antivirus, Antispam, Antispyware. The whole tamale. It slowed my computer to a crawl and somehow bumped up the security to the point where my profile wouldn't load, so a default profile loaded instead.
I've never been a big advocate of Symantec products and this is a perfect example of why not to go with Symantec. I unistalled it and luckily everything went back to normal.
