I've always dreamt of a remote control for everything.
By pointing the remote to an appliance you see the different controls on a screen and can influence the appliance.
So if you point to a light switch you either see an on/off option, either a dimmer.
But pointing it to your music installation it shows you different commands for the cd player, alarm,...
pointing it to the heathing allows to control the heathing, and so on.
This must be quite easy to implement, with some kind of laser telling when the controller needs to "beam out" it's possibilities and the receptor remote having some presets (so a lightswitch with a dimmer can send a code and the controller doesn't need to recieve the different options).
The remote can also recieve whole new command sets; so it can adapt to new equipment (any brand can add this communication protocol and be reachable by the remote)
Are you aware that genetically modified food is only allowed to be made by a few companies? That for the moment genetically modified food doesn't reproduce itself?
Genetically modified food is NOT being stopped because of health concerns, but because of economic concerns.
Golden rice doesn't exist: either it's expensive good rice or cheap normal rice.
Did you see that eventhough the chinese will have their own internet the "peoples daily online" clearly states that their system is going to be in latin signs.
And what surprised me is that they will use EDU for education. I'm sure Chinese have their own word for that. Now chinese need to know english for it to be logical!

Google Pack isn't currently available for Mac OS. We realize that a lot of our users would like us to offer a Mac version, and we may consider this option in the future.

I downloaded the latest Opera today for MacOsX, and it doesn't work. The alert clearly says it will only work in Firefox and Safari.
