  1. Re:Sadly, the slashdot crowd WANTS IE to be insecu on Zone-Spoofing Fixed for IE 7 Home Users · · Score: -1, Troll

Do you know why i dont use M$ Wintendo? because im tired of being screwed by M$.

In the past i caught huge amounts of spyware just surfing the web , without authorizing any website to install software or something like that , since i changed do Firefox never more had problems.

After almost 8 years double-clicking to install software , had annoying anti-vírus always saying that i should do a system check , defraging the hardrive etc... i was sick of it , and once someday windows again had a stability issue (this time couldnt shut down Nero) , I understand it was time to change , gnu/linux was the perfect answer(TM).

Besides my conscience doesnt let me use M$ Evilware(TM) anymore.

P.S. Yes i want IE and Wintendo to be insecure and unstable , but hey , im not worried about that , it is M$ speciallity (dont they have a patent on that?).

I for example , usually open my father work docs in ubuntu (he is a policeman , and around here , government unfortunally still uses M$ in almost every public place) , if OOO didnt suport it , i would be forced to have M$ wintendo plus M$ office to open them , and for me , wintendo is only for playing Counter strike source , not for anything else. Besides ,removing the M$ office compatibility , would be playing the same kind of dirty game that MS plays with theirs closed formats.

  3. Kudos to M$ on Xbox 360 Very Unstable · · Score: 0

After all they are making the first step to make a console more look-a-like to a pc , crashes are no longer exclusivity of a computer owner (or shall i say a wintendo user?)

  4. Better than package-manager on Zero-Day IE Exploit Takes Control of PCs · · Score: 0

This is a area where i must admit that windows is better than gnu/linux. In a gnu/linux distro you have to use the package-manager to install a program , you can do it in the bash or with a GUI , in windows you just have to surf the web and software is installed without you even notice.

  6. M$ great planning on Microsoft Office 12 Beta 1 Is Out · · Score: 0

They launch the new office suite with a total different UI , that way their costumers only when fully adapt to the new UI will understand that they were once again screwed by M$ , and that the only things new in MS office are formats that are non-open copys of open formats , and new ways to crash the office suite.

Why when i install windows i cant choose if i want to install other MS crapware or not ? is that hard to introduce a option in the OS installer asking me if i want that shit on my pc or not?

I would say free as free speech , but opensolaris isnt that free. I would say free beer , but i doubth i could get a free copy by legal means. By the way im a great fan of RMS and the Gnu project (i am one of those who say Gnu/Linux instead of just Linux) , but face it , without the penguim the OS isnt that cool , what is the fun in use it if i cant spell things like : Hello Mr Gates , i will be tour server today

I dont want to flamme but ... why just not use Gnu/Linux (before Torvalds there was Stallman) both in Desktop and servers , i currently use Ubuntu and cant complaint , it works great for Desktop , and that way they would save a lot of money.

My thoughts exactly . After all , this is gonna result in a "fusion" between booth market shares , and make multi plataform software programing much more apealing ( specially if we consider that are booth " long lost brothers " of Unix ) , and as ultimate result , Microsoft will lose the power of many closed formats (directX , activex , etc...) in favor of open formats.
