But air is a necessity. Plus, it's been paid for by your taxes, corporations (they paid for the coal to burn the carbon dioxide and gasoline), and government (ie: infrastructure and military).
And even throwing that ridiculous thought aside, air is too valuable to have a value. There's a difference between "free" and "no value expressible as a real number".
Well, this would add more weight to what my martial arts instructor always told me: "Treat your sword/weapon/etc. well, for it is an extension of your body and soul."
The next question is...will this K_4 crystal be as hard as a diamond is, or will it be just a lookalike? From what I could tell from TFA, it seems to be the latter.
After reading this and brushing past the initial skeptical views expressed above through historical references (ie: The Hindenburg), I have two questions:
1) Will it run Linux?
2) How expensive will it be to ride in one from location X to location Y? I mean, if it's going at 222kph, and a person is not in a hurry and/or not willing to spend too much money on airplane flights (especially international ones), would it be a cheaper and stable alternative to riding a Boeing or an Airbus? If it isn't, it's going to be a tiny market to cater to.
Hmm, usually, Microsoft stories are the foundation for countless counts of M$ bashing, but I wonder if this story will gain as much M$ bashing as the other stories. From what I could see, this is one of those circumstances that have no real "right" answer that'll make you feel good. At least there IS an official, documented workaround as opposed to the inbound TCP connection limit that came with XP SP2.
"The female Maasai giraffe may be looking at the male reticulated giraffe and thinking, 'I don't look like you; I don't want to mate with you'," Mr Brown explained.
So, in short...the giraffes are racists unless they live in a "multicultural" environment (ie: a zoo)?
IIRC, it is common, and socially accepted, to hand out a heavier punishment to a student who has more infractions (ie: tardiness) than to a student who has, say, maybe one or two (ie: one late day).
You know what this means? The Koreans is gearing up to invade China and Japan to pay them back for the millenia of oppression and invasions in the past!!
They'll probably start off with North Korea just to test their powers as mecha warriors.
I'm not sure about you guys, but at the moment, I'm kind of doubtful in welcoming our new robotic overlords. I mean, I thought they were supposed to be superior to us and not be fool by petty illusions...
In my personal opinion, that analogy in the summary is a bit flawed.
I would say that a better analogy is equating hosting the files on Kazaa as leaving your backdoor open and setting up a large, bright, flashing neon sign on your driveway with the words "KITCHEN AND LIVING ROOM OPEN TO PUBLIC. DROP BY AT WILL." If you get robbed (read: People download from you) because you broadcasted (found by "search" or driving through neighbourhoods at high speeds) your open backdoor (read: music), I doubt the insurance companies (read: courts) will be very sympathetic to your case.
MAFIAA or not, there's not much room to argue against the judge's decision.
No, everything that also indicates even a sliver of success is newsworthy of slashdot too. What else do you think we do when there's nothing new about Vista to insult? Bash Microsoft? Hah, we still need an anti-Vista article to be able to post our hate.
I would like to repeat myself by saying that voting machines should have never been permitted to be used in elections. Edison got his rejected, so why allow Diebold?
If you ask me, it's just pointless. Why can't the state government(s) just get rid of the machines and reinstate the good ol' paper votes like they used to? Do they REALLY want to keep on using Diebold machines and/or voting machines in general?
1) In science, for a theory to be accepted, the result must be replicated independently elsewhere. 2) You can never prove a theory, you can only support it.
Technically, we slashdotted the original article so that Google's translator couldn't translate the page, hence the error.

Note that there is no mention of a 20GB bandwidth usage cap.
BUYERS BEWARE

Have you heard of the Japanese porn game "Artificial Girl 3"? A torrent came out a few months ago, and well, it's still kicking. Here's a screenshot.
I call them "roommates". I guess co-workers work too.

IT guys get their own offices? I don't believe it.

Now, where have I heard that before?

"Please ignore the fact that they will hand you and your data over to anyone who asks, and sell your soul for a buck-fifty."
You must be thinking of Yahoo!.
I for one, welcome our new rogue tsunami overlords. May they forever bless us with their water.

He was rude, but correct. Rudeness doesn't change anything (usually).
But you see...Colbert has a doctorate in Fine Arts. Bush doesn't. So I guess that rebuffs your "low-intelligence" argument?
Obligatory Han Solo parody: "This baby can do the Cannonball Run in under 2800 miles."

According to TFA, the fisherman want less quotas and more free-fishing.
