The Brittish play cricket, the Dutch and German can play a decent game of field-hockey, the French are great cooks. I think we'll manage with our day-to-day tools.:-)
I use MS Windows XP (EFS, MSIE, MSOE) and Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird, FlashFXP, Cygwin/OpenSSH, GnuPG, Trillian, Skype and many more. All of these applications use some kind of crypto, would that mean I try to hide some illegal action?
I use crypto every day, almost every hour that I'm awake. (Yeah, I'm a geek;-) ) Everyone using a PC on a regular basis has once used crypto and there are many people using crypto daily without knowing.
BTW: I have some envelopes here too, I could hide naughty pictures with little boys in them, you know.
Explain to me please: What do you exactly mean with compatible. because I don't see the compatibility here:
1. I can release any modifications to BSD-licensed code under GPL. 2. I can release no modifications to GPL-licensed code under a BSD-license. (Unless I'm the original author of the GPL'ed code)
The GPL is a very special license and does only serve some very special purposes. For many cases there are better licenses.
It's not flash (EEPROM), it's battery-backed RAM. Most expensive RAID-controllers already use that so it shouldn't be a problem to implement it in HD's. They just need a little rechargeable battery.
Why do I first think of the "Centrum voor Werk en Inkomen" (Centre for Work and Income) and only later of the "Centrum voor Wiskunde en Informatica" (Centre for Mathematics and Information Technology):-(

Try planning a route from NYC to LA. Where does the longest section lead you? (Got it by accident)
