  1. Re:Mood stabilizers? on Drugs In Our Drinking Water · · Score: 1

Somehow I think that number you gave is wrong. If there were 1 molecule per body of water QUADRILLIONS of times the size of the earth, what are the odds these scientists just happened to find it? (You can't detect less than a molecule of a drug, unless the drug happens to be an element).

1 billionth is 1ml per cube of water 10meters on each side (or 1 million liters). That's probably a decent sized swimming pool, which somebody has injected 1cc worth of X into.
1 trillionth would be 1/10th as much. Multiply that by a lake, and they still might as well be pouring it in from a truck.

I buy a lot of comics books, and the last few months the surcharge has only been about 6 cents. I'm still a little annoyed that it's there, and it took DC longer to catch up then Marvel, but it's tolerable. I've noticed that some smaller comics companies don't list a separate Canadian price on the cover at all anymore.

Meanwhile there are still books in stores that are up to 25% more in Canadian dollars, because the labels are out of date (or the distributor hopes we won't notice). I just don't buy those ones, and I won't until they stop insulting me.

We should wait to be fucked over, and then react to it. I'm on your side. I've built a concrete sarcophagus which I plan to bury 50ft underground, with myself inside it. As long as I don't run out of air, food, water, and wifi, I'll be pretty damn safe.
I'll need the wifi because I'm going to start a campaign to make it illegal to not live in a protective sarcophagi like my own. After all, we'll be much safer if we avoid all possible risks, instead of just the reasonable ones.
