It's a shame the price is so high, this is just what I've been looking for for a while now. I have a neighbor with an autistic child, and they are always afraid of him running away and getting lost.
I looked a bit at the mologogo, but this would be even better because they would be able to call and talk to him while they go search.
Unfortunately, they're a bit tight on finances at the moment, so they'll have to wait for the price to come down or something new to come out.
Just an interesting note to all those people who seem to think markets always end up screwing the little guy, hurt innovation, etc. I'd say at least 70% of the posts on here are along the lines of " *traditional radio is bad* *here's the alternative I enjoy (mp3/podcast/satellite/singing to yourself)* " It seems that when a company abuses some near manifestation of a monopoly, people innovate...sounds like...dun dun dun...basic ecnomomic theory.
Be careful using a computer to solve the problem, obviously the rules of immortality would mean that computer would become immortal, not you. Just think, you'll be cursed with an old box laying around your room forever.
Not that most of the people here don't already have heaps of old hardware laying around.
