I would so play those "Shooterz'R Kewl" games if they would only make "Grand Theft Auto: Vatican City". Can't wait to be driving the popemobile around and hitting vatican knights. :D

Well I don't. I opted not to hurt my eyes with the "awesomeness" of it. At any rate, with situations such as these, I'm surprised that there is a move away from the powerhouse desktop computers and towards the gaming consoles. It just seems like things are getting more and more disappointing as time progresses... why not write up a game that can fully utilize your computer, slap it on a Linux platform, and call it a day? :D I should start a software company... :o

  6. Yay! You said Wing Commander! on Next-Gen Console CPUs Not Up to Hype · · Score: 1

Well, was it not discussed somewhere on here that the new PS3 core was designed to be more "pretty" and not so much "smarter"? Seems like these days, people are more for the look of the game than the thought process required to play it. Well, I do enjoy the occasional FPS and such... but I'd also like a game to challenge my mind a bit. Not sure I liked the Link to the Past -> Zelda64 progression. :| But these days, games just... do it less and less for me. I enjoyed a game where I could not only fly ships, but my conversations changed outcomes. Games where I could drive the outcome in a game based on my skill and precision as a player. And when Wing Commander Online was right on the cuff of development... Origin canned it in favor of Ultima(te Disappointment) Online. Oh where have the cowboys gone indeed. :D

With all these people going Jedi on us, I'm wondering how many people check their roots and realize that it is not the Jedi that they are, but Numenorians??! Why do people give up on teh Valar so easily?

Before the edicts of Darth Bane, the sith was an empire spanning many galaxies. That is of course until they started killing each other to see who has more power/WMD/Bushisms. We are clearly before teh era of Darth Bane.

  12. Something to consider... on Protecting Your Personal Info While Traveling? · · Score: 3, Informative

I once worked at a computer lab where I was able to test some software (iOpus, I believe) that had some keylogging software. This software was incredibly ingenius, and would very accurately tell me what was typed where, when, and by whom. I also had the option to take screenshots every once in a while (I could set how often the screenshots were taken). These files (log and screenies) could then be saved on a location where the current user would not be able to access due to user restrictions.

Be wary of this, since I was able to catch the logins of several users. (My purpose of installing this was to catch someone was using our network traffic downloading porn and illegal filesharing. Needless to say, with the screenshots and logs, I caught him rather red-handed.)

But these days, such precautions are to be expected with terrorism on the rise and such. My only advice: Be very careful when doing this on a public location where spying and keylogging is easy to implement. Not all people were as nice as I was and let the small info go. A small slip of the Credit Card number, and away goes several thousand dollars!

  13. Well... :| on Can Hayao Miyazaki Save Disney's Soul? · · Score: 1

I don't think Disney'll survive much longer, which is a shame. When Disney started stealing from anime and all that (Kimba.. no, Simba... I am your father) and then started to dabble in other divisions, trying to outdo the Japanese (that Jungle Book DDR-imitation comes to mind).. they pretty much doomed themselves to a slow death.
I mean, it's like copying someone else's work and releasing an inferior product! Just... like... some other company I know...
Miyazaki's their only hope to survive, but alas, there are even other ways for Miyazaki's work to make it to the states.
