I remember a while back when all the buzz about the new PS console was starting. There were numerous reports that the PS3 would form a distributed Grid computer for things like running the game servers or providing Mhz for rent (over broadband).
I'm wondering if this is still the plan? Was it the press confusing Cell and Grid? The other question it poses is what is the legality of using a client's box and bandwidth for sony's network

Well there is always the roll your own UI.
Rockbox has a very customisable GUI, I haven't used it but my cousin has been raving about it on his iRiver. They have a beta for the iPod going - although you have to get it from the CVS iirc. http://www.rockbox.org/
then there is iPod linux, and ones own coding skillz.
Its been noticed for a while that women who suffer from extremely painful (and often precocious) arthritis, seem to gain a respite from the symptoms during the pregnancy - almost to the point that they disappear completely.
Unfortunately after birth, the woman regresses back to where she was before the pregnancy.
From an evolutionary stand-point any healing effect that the fetus has on the mother can only improve the survival of the offspring to sexual maturity.
From a technological standpoint the iTunes Music store is basically a web page using Apple's JSCore and WebCore to render it.
This does propose the interesting question that with the imminet release of itunes for the various phone platforms (im guessing they didnt just do it for motorola) and the stament in Nokia's press release that they intend to allow other manufacturers access to the port - Is Apple going after the mobile-downloadable music market?
All it needs is a secure link and a mobile freindly layout and shazam, Apple is selling the crazy frog ringtone at a third of the price of anyone else and the world descends into anarchy!!! ahem, I mean apple gets a slice of the youth dominated mobile music market.
