It wasn't skipped over. They point it out in the episode about ice worlds. You might be thinking about the first disc in the series which is a sort of summary of their entire collection.
I don't think the gp was advocating total road anarchy. This tech certainly allows bad parents to compensate for their lack of parenting skills with technology. I suppose this is good for those of us sharing the road with their kids but just wait until insurance companies and politicians decide that they will use your money to 'encourage' car companies to install these in all new vehicles. Also, how is gp's comment flamebait?
The military should have very little funding. This idea that we need a huge standing military is complete and utter bullshit. I hate how the 'conservatives' (90% of them aren't) refer to liberals as tax and spenders while they themselves do the same damn thing on a massive scale. At least the democrats are somewhat up front about it. Obama seems more honest to me than McCain v2008. McCain v2000 I could have voted for. What the hell happened?
Taking things people say out of context is fun and all but isn't really honest. Obama was speaking about having a larger Peace Corps and helping veterans find employment in organizations like the Peace Corps. Of course all of the far right pundits jump on this and completely misrepresent Obama's words. How about you listen to the actual speech instead of latching on to lies and spreading FUD.
This always trips me up. When I see "Girls = Boys at math" I automatically think Girls are Boys at math. It's the case whenever I see a single '='. So my question is: What is proper, = or ==?
[Doc Ruby wrote]How do I get tested for whether I've got the granulocyte cancer immunity? I've always wanted to take up smoking. If I could sell my granulocytes, I'd afford to buy a carton of cigarettes
Emphysema is not lung cancer.
It's a slow suffocating death.
Have fun dying! (Darwin Evolution at work.)
Dying from emphysema when you're old is not Darwinian! Most people would have passed on their genes by that point.
If the genetic defect will cause the person to suffer and be dependent on others for their entire life why would anyone allow the embryo to develop? It seems more cruel than terminating a clump of cells.
Are you kidding me? Your analogy is broken. What if I had some sort of duplication machine and went to the Ferrari dealer, pointed my machine at a Ferrari, made a copy and drove off? They lose nothing. There is no way I can afford one but if I can make a copy that costs them nothing where is the crime?
Why do people keep bringing up that example. It's not all about price. I can't stand how my tap water tastes that's why I buy bottled water. My parents have great tap water which I can drink. Stop making generalizations.
...the BBC documentary Planet Earth skipped over.

*For you yungins, go look up Kelly Bundy and the above phrase.
I just did. The top result is your post!

Here is the excerpt in context for anyone who actually wants the truth instead of this bullshit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9Q5dZClz8g
Well I feel stupid now. Thanks for the correction. To me it just doesn't sound right to say pleaded.
Come on editors.
I know, I know. It's redundant.

Since everyone else is doing it, I'll get on the bandwagon.

Right... so what happens if being born female happens to be treated like a genetic defect in your country?
