I agree it is very cute.
If it was 6ft tall it could replace my girl friend.
Its just functional enough to wash dishes but dumb enough to have an off switch.
The HD DVD standard competing with Blu-Ray also extends to the gaming console market.
One thing that is noticable with all (if not most) of the standards MS uses, they always change it and try to "better" it making standard complient software problematic. This way they can sway the market in the directions they want.
Just think of how different computer hardware might be without MS.
