  1. I'ts about creativity on Elton John Says Internet is Destroying Music · · Score: 1

For the people who dit not read the article: Elton is saying that people are sitting behind the computer screen alone instead of making music together. This wil kill the music. As a software developer I've made software with people all over the world, thanks to the Internet.

It should be possible for musicians to work together over the Internet. You can contact more musicians over the Internet than ther are in your town. I would assume the collaboration will increase the quantity and the quality of the music.

  3. Re:And this fights piracy how? on Using Watermarks to Combat Piracy · · Score: 1

Sorry, this is illegal under Dutch law. What is legal is JG's friend borrowing the disc or watherver media holds the file from JG and making the copy himself for personal use. p.s. There are some Dutch laws that make more sense 8-)

  4. Seems easy to implement on PayPal vs Google(Buy) · · Score: 2, Interesting

I receive money from Google for my google adds. They've already have the sofware to transfer money from advertiser A to my account. I shouldn't be that complicated to instruct google to substract x amount from that figure and add it to the payment of Alice. Or to substract y ammount from Bob and add it to my payment.

If you comment on my English, please bear in mind how well you are doing on your third language.

Grandparent stated: educated and critical thinking people in a society. These are not by definition people above average If you have a "stupid" population, then less than 50% is educated and critical thingking. In a smart population more than 50% (or even 80%) is not a problem.

Compare: More than 50% of the people have less than averege wealth (the superrich raise the average). This does not mean most of the population is poor.

  9. Re:being an EU citizen on Austrian Town Sees the Light · · Score: 5, Interesting

The EU is not paying for that town. EU doesn't care for some people in some town. They are paying so that that company has something to do. EU does care for companies, or at least for companies that have enough money to lobby/bribe EU officials.

  10. Re:Power to the Parliament! on EU Says No To Software Patents · · Score: 1

That's wat I wrote to the Dutch EMP's. I assumed they care more about there own job than they do about mine.
