The fact that the general public will never use that much space has nothing to do with its demand. 1.2 PB's - yea, thats just a silly amount of storage space for a PC, but not really a server...but 100 gigs? A law on hard drives over 100 gigs? God forbid your a gamer, or a photographer, or a graphics designer, you dont have to be a pro to have a BUNCH of images over 5 megs each...an average teenager who doesnt break the law can fill 100 gigs in a few weeks easily.
How many people out there have a harddrive 100 gigs or smaller and play games do not have to ask "hmm...what game shall I delete to make room for this new one today?"
Anyway...your choice of size isnt really the reason I am replying to you...but a LAW!?
Yea...and lets make a law on cars that go over 60-75 MPH...or dvd-burners in general (ya know...who needs more than a CD can handle for a word file?)...or how about pistols - yea, lots of illegal stuff you can do with pistols and you cant even hunt em...while we are at it lets go back and ban the betamax baby!...dont even get me started on the TiVO...ooh - I got it...the best idea ever
Lets ban torrents! That fixes one of the largest methods of distroing pirated material today, and makes it more difficult for linux distro's to hit the masses! Man...we can please the RIAA and Microsoft in one quick movement...

Pornography shouldnt have to be something you "break free" from. Yes - if you over do it, and take it as something it is not (an example of all real life encounters) then your going to have some serious problems. But that's not prono's evil characteristic - all forms of entertainment can be the same. Ever see a news report where two young boys got seriously injured playing "backyard brawling" like they saw on T.V.? Does that mean that television violence is evil? Not in my opinion - its just entertaining. Anytime sombody takes entertainment into their lives as a piece of it, there is a risk involved - nothing is different with pornography.
So if you treat your girlfriend like an object, and make her act a certain way - she should dump you. The fact of the matter is thats your problem not porns problem - many of us have girlfriends who actually enjoy porn (on rare occasions) - does that make us/them sexual deviants? I dont think so, it just makes us all aware of our sexual drives - and willing to explore that drive.
I would be happy to pay that much as well, but sadly as a student It would require a bit of effor to get that much for a keyboard (would really love to have one though)
What about graphics design students?
I know for those of us who use their keyboard to type and play games, it may seem somewhat useless. However, as a graphics design student, I find that most of my peers (myself included) never bother to learn all of the keyboard shortcuts/commands for such applications as photoshop/3dsmax/maya/flash/dreamweaver/lightwave/ XSI
yes, the list goes on and on and is quite daunting - so most people just skip over this all together and use the menu systems to switch from tool to tool or create a quick square to edit. So for the general public this doesnt seem to usefull...but for students who want to cut down production time in ten different applications, it has major uses.
just my $.02 - personally, if its out in 2006 I will be buying one (as long as its under $200 - over that will take serious consideration)
