Since Google and Apple are partnering with each other then I would like to see better integration between Google Earth and Address Book.
1 - Google Earth gets the ability to see Address Book entries so while using Google Earth we can select an address and go to it.
2 - Same the for Address Book but it will start Google Earth if it is no running
3 - Addresses can be added to My Places from Address Book and they can be added to Address Book from Google Earth.
I would not have a problem letting others use my wireless, but I do not want to take a chance on someone doing something illegal and when traced, have it come back to me.
iBook dream, 1599 for 1.66 duo, x1600 256mb, fw400, usb2, upto 2gb memory, 13" 1280x800, etc.
The MacBook Pro has 128MB/256MB so I expect the MacBook to have 64MB/128MB. The memory will stay the same until the MacBook Pro get the Merom processor and supports 4GB RAM, then the MacBook will get support for 2GB RAM; however, the real questions should be:
1) Shared or dedicated graphics memory?
2) AGP or PCI Express?
3) Parallel or SATA drives?
4) Core single or core duo?
I am expecting the core single for now, but I am hoping for the latter in the first three questions. Is PCI Express so much faster/better than AGP that a 64MB PCI Express card would be preferable to a 128MB AGP card?
I too have had trouble with battery life after installing Tiger. I was able to use my iBook for approximately 5 hours with Panther, but with Tiger, I am under 2 hours. At times I am tempted to get rid of Tiger and put Panther back on, but I am rarely away from an outlet and the features and updated applications that come with Tiger keep me from do it.
If Spotlight is to blame for the shortened battery life then Apple should provide levels of indexing to keep battery consumption at a minimum. At the very least there should be two levels where one indexes the file name only and one that does what it does right now.
Due to the size of the screen on the iPod Movie, music videos (no 16:9 ratio) and home video (straight from the comcorder and exported from iMovie) seem to me to be the only video that you could watch without too much difficulty. The reason is home videos rarely have intricate story lines that need your full attention, music videos have songs that you listen to while watching images, and they do not last more than a few minutes.
Since iTunes can convert higher bit rate songs to 128 bits on-the-fly when transfering to the iPod Shuffle, I see no reason why iTunes couldn't do the same thing for music videos. Either transfer the audio portion only to the iPod or allow the audio to be played without showing the video.
If Apple does come out with a dock made for showing movies from the iPod it would not surprise me if it came with a remote control that is shaped similar to the iPod Shuffle and would also display the iPod's menu on the TV screen so you can navigate from the sofa.

I let my wireless network be used by anyone
