Currently no viable solution exists on a Windows box. There are things like Sunbird and Yagoon but they don't work well with Outlook (i.e. no real integration). Currently there is a project called Open Connector that exists to bring caldav support to Outlook. It is quickly reaching beta but the main developer needs help. I am pitching in and hope that others will as well. Check it out at http://www.openconnector.org./
So, now that VMWare has all of this money to throw around will they finally release a native FreeBSD player? Or maybe VirtualBox will beat them to it...or maybe anyone can do it besides Win4BSD because that is just not good software.
As good as I think it is to see Linux get a native flash player it still bums me out to see that they have forgotten the BSDs again. Come one, they have players for Linux, HP-UX, Solaris and yet can't get a player compiled for FreeBSD.
Please go to Adobe Feature Request and request a native FreeBSD flash player. The community would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
This was an excellent interview and Theo seemed fairly down-to-earth. I actually agree with many of Theo's POV's but don't always agree with how he conveys them. This interview seemed to show his *softer* side:)
Honestly though, he is right...the big Linux vendors really needed to step up and donate to the project. I am a FreeBSD user and certainly understand the need for funding to keep these projects going. OpenSSH is an amazing piece of software that we all use quite a bit. I can't say that I give all of my money to these projects but I do purchase CD sets and can only hope that the rest of you do as well.
I guess sometimes we are all dicks when we really believe in something. Although Theo can come across as a dick sometimes he really does stand for a good cause. Software should be free!
Although it's not quite as mature as ApplixWare, Siag is a very nice office suite that could be developed further. I agree that OpenOffice isn't the answer but there are other office suites out there to build on. The only drawback is that no development has happened with Siag in 2.5 years.
I'm a big Firefox fan and don't user other browsers (IE at work doesn't count cuz I'm quitting in 1 week) so I am wondering what the stats are for browsers like Opera, Mozilla, Netscape, Dillo, Konqueror, Epiphany, and Galeon. Does anyone have this information?
Honestly though, there aren't many developers out there that make perfectly secure software...IMHO it the open-source communities response to the problem that keeps me sticking with it.

Also, the calendar server that is used in Leopard is nothing more than the open-source Darwin calendar server at http://trac.calendarserver.org/projects/calendarserver
So, although nothing exists in ports that I can find you can run the Darwin calendar server on FreeBSD.
