For the latest versions of ffdshow use ffdshow Tryouts instead.

The original developer(s) of ffdshow let it pretty much die and now clsid and xxl are working on adding new patches and abilities.

    Website is here: http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

Yes, I do call it not that far apart because the media and blogs make it seem like it's selling leaps and bounds further than that in the US. I personally think sales for the PS3 will start to take off come March with the huge lineup of new titles coming out.

    Data from http://vgcharts.org/

    US
    X360: 5,470,000
    Wii: 1,810,000
    PS3: 1,160.000

What's interesting to note there is that in the US, the PS3 and the Wii aren't really that far apart.

    Japan
    X360: 350,000
    Wii: 1,610,000
    PS3: 700,000

In Japan there's almost a million more Wiis sold. Japan loves themselves some Nintendo. Of course they also love Tentacle Porn and soiled panty dispensers.

    Others
    X360: 3,220,000
    Wii: 1,290,000
    PS3: Not Available Yet

It'll be interesting to see how the PS3 does in Europe/Australia/The UK. My guess is that it would match the US sales.

Someone did it as an extension for Firefox though: http://maf.mozdev.org/ Very very very few people use that so I can see why the Mozilla developers didn't bother putting effort into it.

Firefox also has the ability to re-open closed tabs. There's several extensions that handle it of which the best, in my opinion, is Tab Mix Plus v0.3.0.2. It also includes SessionSaving in it as well. It's the power extension of tab control.

You can pick it up here: Tab Mix Plus - Firefox Extension

Generally, if there's a feature that you can come up with someone can make an extension for it. Sometimes it's a bit too difficult to to implement some ideas though.

The one thing I really wish Firefox had was the ability to scale both text and graphics smoothly and quickly like Opera does. That is truly a useful feature and why I think Opera is the best browser for lower end computers.

Correction: This story incorrectly stated the affiliation of Mike Schroepfer, Mozilla's results in verifying the Firefox 1.5 flaw, and the nature of the problem. Schroepfer is vice president of engineering with Mozilla Corp., and Mozilla has not been able to verify its browser can crash and lead to a denial-of-service condition. The problem itself was a not security vulnerability but actually a flaw in the browser.

Read the article before you consider posting it with a sensational title!

If you want to go through and make your extensions compatible, you might want to install MRTech's Local Install(beta version) or the Nightly Tester Tools extensions.

These allow you to right on extensions in your extension manager and select 'Make Compatible' and it will up their version number for you.

Alternatively, you can open the .xpi files with WinRar and edit the install.rdf file. Change the maxVersion number to 1.5. Then save the install.rdf (WinRar will automatically notice you changed it and want to import it into the .xpi... do so.)

He surely missed the returned product sticker. He also probably missed the shoddy heatshrinking job the Fry's reps will do.

Brand New = factory heatshrink packaging. Usually a very different type of heatshrinking than what Fry's uses to repackage returned items.
