Yes it runs much cooler at idle, hence why I said under load. As far as shortening the life, it's been running for three years like this and I will build a new system soon. Gaming rigs have to be rebuilt every few years anyway so I don't really worry about hardware making it longer than that.

This is so meaningless.
Best way I have come across to make sure any gui I make is the way it should be, get lots of people that know nothing about computers to try it and see if they can use it. Unfortunately, these same people are not the ones doing beta testing for most software.
There was an "almost Blu-Ray" player avaible in Japan in 2003. It used the same disc technology but can not handle all of the codecs or the same encryption as the finalized spec.
You get upgrade pricing from AT&T after 18 months. I'm eligible for upgrade now and still have 4 months left in my contract.

Looks like I own my work.
Use XKeymacs. You can find it here: http://www.cam.hi-ho.ne.jp/oishi/indexen.html
Just add the following to ~/.gtkrc-2.0 or create it if it doesn't exist and firefox will use emacs key bindings:
gtk-key-theme-name = "Emacs"
For those that actually want to know: Use gconf-editor and change the /desktop/gnome/interface/gtk_key_theme key to Emacs.
While I can't speak for other bd players my PS3 has no problem playing discs without encryption.
Not here. I just don't get a signal on the digital audio outputs if the channel is not digital.

I have a 6800gt that I've been running for about three years now overclocked. When it's under load it can get to 99C but I haven't had any problems.
Thanks for saving us the 30 seconds it would have taken to find the key.
My 7900gt works fine under Vista. What's your point?

iceweasel is all I have to say about that.
You'll be just fine as long as you never have a hd fail or a nic with no driver, but we all know that never happens.
Problem is that when the cards are read into the computer to count all the votes, they have write access.

Make sure it has a raid array and no floppy drive for even more fun.

Try https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1243/
I still have all the issues... Damn I need to clean my closet.
I installed Hoary from my sata dvd drive with no problems. Don;t see why a newer release wouldn't do it.
