Apparently you are so inundated by negative comments that you don't have time to read mine in its entirety, in which it says that "Fortunately another commenter has stated the truth". And to further save you time, the comment I alluded to is this one: "https://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=12399630&cid=57010728", although most others will do, too. It's not "my version of right". It's common knowledge of people not influenced by Chinese Orwellian nonsense.
I've never posted here in Slashdot before, but this author's ignorance irked me so much that I just have to come out and say something. Fortunately another commenter has stated the truth, so I only need to emphasize that he is wrong. It's understandable that many people get the complicated China/Hong Kong/Taiwan history wrong. But saying something one does not understand is irresponsible. It's the reason this time and age is labeled "post-truth".
