    Can you recommend a particular make/model for a 5-drive eSata enclosure? How do they work - does each drive appear to the OS, or does the external box RAID them?

    Did you know Kirk never actually said that in the series? The line stems from the animated episodes, where he actually said 'Beam US up Scotty'...

    Blatant Karma Whoring.

    It was Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (or Save the Whales as my mates call it). He didn't actually program a MAC for voice recognition, either. He just assumed that it supported it, and was suprised when it didn't respond.

    That was one of the movies that Leonard Nimoy directed, and is easily one of my favorites.

    Wheres a transporter suspended animation plot device when you need one! Seriously, Jimmy Doohan is a real nice guy. Having never met him, but read his autobiography and some interviews he would've been really interesting. I hope that guy doesn't get your blood now Jimmy!

    It come's with a remote dude... A radio USB remote no less, you can hook it up downstairs, and watch it on the TV upstairs, with no loss of control.. I'll be looking into getting a PCI version this.

    Do you know how hard it is to get a replacement Digital motherboard out of Compaq? $570 (Aus.) for a Pentium 1 motherboard out of a computer we paid $400 (Aus.) for! Bastards!

    Damn Straight! I have people bagging me out for using 2K on my desktop at home. I am a firm believer in using Linux on the server, but until some drastic improvements are made on the desktop side I will continue using M$ software. It usually comes free with a new PC anyways!

    What type of hosting services wouldn't keep a spare, hot-swappable router in place? I remember reading about the new hosting service when /. moved, and being very impressed, but if they can't even get this right I would be very concerned.
