I dunno if this will succeed or not. Not that it matters.
To go from creating Wikipedia (Like, the coolest, most successfull, important and complete repository of geek/human knowledge ever), to a project sporting "Paris Hilton buys Candy Panties" on the front page.. It's a step or ten down on the ladder of saintlyness. If Jimbo had his priorities straight, he would be out saving the planet with Wikimedia projects, not providing lewd and shallow entertainment.
But hey, considering his background at Bomis, provider of lewd and shallow entertainment, maybe he just came full circle. =)
One of the things I like about my Robosapien is his ability to go into World Domination mode. First he exclaims "World Domination plan, engaged!" in a loud and stern voice - and then... Nothing.
He stands still, blue eyes flickering with intelligence, obviously contemplating wicked schemes. Or just waiting for the global Robosapien population to reach sufficient numbers for global robot revolution. Suffice to say, I don't sleep as well at night as i used to.
I misread it the same way, and I am in the process of actually founding an "Open Source Religion".
A coherent organized worldview that is dynamic, module-based and upgradable.
In contrast with the thousands of years old, monolithic, static and all-to-often fundamentalist doctrines that monopolize the religious market today. I say it's about time they get some competition.
Does this mean that AMDs will be the sole producer of ATI based graphics cards, or will ATI continue to licence their graphics tech to 3rd party chipmakers?
