You know after trying "linux" i thought is was somewhat okay, until i got to the BOOTLOADER!!!!!!!!!!1
F**K the new bootloader, it is made in Stallman's usual contempt for other operating systems like Windows, and even sh*ts on OSX/Windows for loading. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE THE NEW BOOTLOADER!!!!!!!!!
grrrrrrrrrrr *more unintelligible sounds*
(also my worst post)
Editorial note: Setting up GRUB is typically a hit and miss process that involves multiple attempts, although this is largely a solved problem with the popular distros, I find it incredibly irritating that the default for nearly every distro is to overwrite the existing bootloader rather than attempt to use a more sane solution: add their OS to the existing bootloader when installing on a separate partition. I boot into Linux using the Windows bootloader (chain boots into GRUB.) Why can't this be a default option so that I don't have to worry about the fact that deleting my new, temporary Linux install will leave my machine unbootable?
In theory the two are different, in practice, people prefer the latter despite any evidence that they are wrong.
However, it does do things faster and I would say it is likely because it has fewer background processes running. The services architecture is among the largest changes in 7, and that seems to have helped a great deal.
If watching three seasons of House has taught me anything, it's that once someone gets a taste for lying, they have a need to lie again. What happens with this army after it lies about curing cancer? Who does it lie to next? You're going to have a mercenary army running loose in your system desperate for another fabrication....
I Am Not A Doctor, but I believe once your immune system is trained to attack a particular type of something, it will always attack it whenever it discovers its presence. The immune system has no central dictionary of things it will or will not attack, but rather, is like a peer to peer system every component of the immune system shares some of the information of the entire body's list of "bad things."
Au contraire, as numerous studies and thousands, perhaps millions have discovered, there is little deadlier than discarded munitions, especially after war is already over.
You may have unintentionally brought up an extremely good point: SELinux is/was developed by the NSA for security applications, and is presumably a matter of national security as an invaluable piece of their infrastructure.
I have a different definition of government, one that precludes rule without representation and tyranny. I consider petty despots and warlords to not be "government," but exactly what they are. I don't care what name they call themselves or what the traditions are.
That's my definition though, I'm not going to force it on you. Given my definition, martial law isn't a form of government, it's an irrational response to crisis that strips the people of its natural government.
Please do not use phrases like "military and civilian government." There is one government, and the military is a component of it.
Saying "military and civilian government" is the thin edge of a wedge, IMO, toward considering it acceptable that there would be a military not attached to the office of the executive. If you were so inclined, you should explore situations in history in which that has happened.
And we, the electorate who put into office the civilian government, are responsible for the military actions taken during their administration.
Virtual machines baby, boot it up, run the keylogger, run the install up to the point where it gives you whatever you need to install, and then reset the hard drive state.
My cellphone has an OpenGL ES rendering engine, as do many of the new generation of smartphones.
Despite that, I'm willing to bet the problem with this cloud computing engine is not the bandwidth, if they get it worked out, but the latency with the display. It's bad enough playing online and having lag issues. But now I have to wait for my screen to update?
Why don't you sell it under terms that grant you royalties rather than sell it for a single rate? If you own the copyright, you can determine the distribution and that means you can negotiate a contract. That contract negotiation is where things like royalties come from.
Oh, ok, let me know when they decide to loosen up the licensing on that driver since the code is wholly owned by Sun and they can choose to do that if they actually wanted to increase adoption and allow Linux (or Windows!) to be distributed with compiled in drivers.
For 24 hours (or however long since the last backup) without anyone noticing? That would be pretty impressive if the RAID controller was reading and writing bad data for 24 hours without the OS or any of your applications noticing.
What a troll. The activation numbers for Microsoft are regional and, at least in the United States, on 800 numbers (toll-free.)
Also, Microsoft is not the support provider for your OS. Microsoft has training programs, they train retailers, so whoever sold you the computer is your end user support. Only when you have a Serious Problem and its Serious Business does Microsoft act as support.
If your friend was running Linux he would have had to wait until someone replied to his thread on the Ubuntu forums (if he were lucky) or until someone told him to RTFM on the Gentoo forums. Honestly, support options aren't that much better on Linux. Certainly not more reliable, which is what you suggest by saying your "friend" had to wait until the help desk was open.
Simply put, we're not computationally there yet.
And even when we are, people will bitch about the memory and processor requirements.

The kernel has undergone significant changes with respect to modularity.

Yeah but it'll take 20 minutes to write and at the bottom it says:
"Sent from my Macbook Wheel."
Yes, when the allergen is no longer present, your body stops responding to it.

Are they suing the US government?
Greasemonkey support is in the beta for Google Chrome 2.0.

Compression is, after all, for losers.

And they say Linux isn't ready for regular users.

They are not, however, primary support for the vast majority of installations.

Because the new equation editor is vastly superior to the old one, and it was redundant code.
What do you mean "block layer."
Partition 1 start Partition 2 start.
See how they don't overlap? OS messes up partition 1, all the blocks, all the sectors are good.
