    Perhaps we are all missing the true end use for these lasers.
    Maybe their intended use is to blind night vision devices and infrared cameras.

    I read that the Chinese were using lasers to prevent pilots from getting near their bases and the island that they built in the South China Sea.

    Perhaps this is an extension of that use.

    It seems I read a couple of years back that climate scientist saying due to climate change we were going to have a drought that lasted 100 years. Furthermore, if I recall right they were predicting the end of farming as we know it...

    Did I miss something, or are things being turned on their head?

    These articles about how the "Russians" spread disinformation appear more like a post election "Wag the Dog" style damage control.

    Which seems a more likely scenario: 1) The Russians did it, even though evidence has not been provided; or 2) Oh crap! The people see how we tried to rig the primaries, and how a totally corrupt and biased the mainstream news media is. We have to reframe the scenario so that we can gain control of what the plebs think. If we do not, we will never be able to manipulate an election again where we the DNC and mainstream media pick the winners of an U.S. election.

    In order to copyright it you have to publish. Binaries aren't subject to copyright.

    Not true, in the U.S. something is copyrighted the moment it is created.

    In order to get statutory damages and attorney fees, a work must be registered with the Copyright office.

    17 U.S. Code 412 - Registration as prerequisite to certain remedies for infringement
    In any action under this title, other than an action brought for a violation of the rights of the author under section 106A(a), an action for infringement of the copyright of a work that has been preregistered under section 408(f) before the commencement of the infringement and that has an effective date of registration not later than the earlier of 3 months after the first publication of the work or 1 month after the copyright owner has learned of the infringement, or an action instituted under section 411(c), no award of statutory damages or of attorney’s fees, as provided by sections 504 and 505, shall be made for—

    (c) Every written, recorded or electronic communication from a lawyer soliciting professional employment from anyone known to be in need of legal services in a particular matter shall include the words "Advertising Material" on the outside envelope, if any, and at the beginning and ending of any recorded or electronic communication, unless the recipient of the communication is a person specified in paragraphs (a)(1) or (a)(2).

    In order to sue in Federal court, a plaintiff much either show a Federal Question which allows federal courts to hear any case alleging a violation of the Constitution, laws, and treaties of the United States. What is the Federal Question in this case.

    If the suit isn't brought by claiming a Federal Question, the plaintiff must show that they meet a Amount in Controversy Requirement of possibly recovering a minimum of $75,000.

    With the drone costing only $1,800 the defendant can show a Legal Certainty that the plaintiff's claim it really much less that the required $75,000 to bring the suit.

    If the plaintiff cannot show a just possibility of recovering $75,000, the case will be dismissed

    In re: #4, Social Security was paid into by most who are taking from it.

    By taking from the producers to support 90% of the takers you are stealing from the person that either works hard, or took risks in hopes of a better future.

    You are enslaving the individual because you are stealing a portion of the persons life for the benefit of another.

    One function of money is to ensure fairness when it comes to transactions for goods or services in life. The person who has worked hard or took risks to advance his or her wealth status should enjoy the fruits of their own labor.

    What the VC is advocating is quasi Communism.

    I really wish the would make "Animal Farm" mandatory reading in schools again.

    Where does the primrose path end that the VC is advocating? All animals are equal, just some more so than others...

    Lastly, without property rights, there is no real freedom.

    The last thing I would want to major in is CS.

    Not because I hate computers or the prospect of programming.

    I see a glut of programmers and a huge deficiency of jobs in the future work environment. As such, wages and the work environment are going to crash.

    As others have stated, the public education system is pumping out people who cannot even perform basic math and have rudimentary English skills.

    If they cannot grasp even the basics, how are they ever going to obtain computer science skills.

    Science is the study of what is and why. It starts with a formulation
    of a question; in this case, "Is man made CO2 causing a change to the
    climate." Next, a hypothesis is made based off the evidence already
    available. The next step is to make a prediction based off of the
    hypothesis; in this case, world wide temperatures is going to increase,
    aka climate temperature models. After which, the scientific community
    test the predictions; in this case, comparing actual temperature models
    against the predicted. Lastly, there is an analysis of the predictions
    against the actual findings. If the predictions do not line up with the
    actual findings the hypothesis is deemed to be wrong. In this case, the
    actual temperatures greatly deviate from the models and indicate that
    global cooling is occuring, As such, the theory of man made climate
    change is a failed theory...

    Some of the failed predictions include, but not limited to:

    I have a suggestion, if they change the work place to suit women at the expense of men, men stop wearing deodorant.

    After a while, the complainers will be begging for the thermostat to be turned down to get rid of the smell...

    I have seen some other articles that address the carbon cost of air conditioning, and some stating that air conditioning HCFC refrigerants are causing global warming.

    I would not be surprised it this is one of many lead ups to "we must get rid or reduce air conditioning in order to save the environment" movement.

    I think the U.S. citizens have forgotten and do not care what Liberty is anymore.

    Liberty is the right to choose how one lives their lives. Now, it seems, we are in an era in which everybody is trying to control the actions of one another. So many problems would eventually fix themselves if government would get out of the peoples lives. It also appears government has gone from the servant of the people to the master of the subjects.

    No one cares when our neighbors vices are being excessively regulated and taxed. The pain never hits home until it is something that we love that is being hit.

    Under that line of thinking, I could suggest heavily taxing your business. This would do two things: 1, raise revenues for the government; and 2, prevent obesity by taking away money that would have paid your employees.

    There you go, a win-win solution. And you can feel better that you are not causing your employees to become fat.

    I see that you are very short sighted, and intolerant of others freedoms.

    It is because of view points such as yours that I stand resolute against the national (freedom stripping) health care scheme.

    Freedom is precious, once it is given up, it is usually gone for good.

    Just remember, when they start regulating, or prohibiting something you enjoy (and they will), you did it to others first.
