    I would disagree. Maybe on low settings this is true. But on higher settings and if actually competing with another Human being, religion was highly desirable.

    It had benefits and hardly any drawbacks. Only drawback was the possibility of your opponent winning a diplomatic victory.

    That list only reinforces GP's post. The biggest one on the list not owned by the US is about 2/3 the size of US owned aircraft carriers. The rest are really small fractions.

    This feature already exists in CIV. It's called turn limit. Of course, you must be familiar with the turn numbers as they relate to the game year in order to set an actual date.

    Both of which cost millions if I may add. If these "poor" souls feel so used, they should quit. Then they can sit at home reading the classifieds as some guy from India does their job for 10K a year and an apartment with no furniture.

    I played quite a bit of WoW myself. The thing I saw was Blizzard saying they will never do something... and then doing that exact thing a year or 2 down the line. Some examples: Horde Paladin/Allaince Shaman. PvE to PvP transfers. Class Transfers, Race Transfers.

    Very true. I remember playing an MMO back in the day (Ultima Online) where latency was very important due to the way the game played. I got a cable connection that gave me 13ms latency, with only 9 hops to the server. Needless to say I raped face.

    Yes but if a cell phone carrier tried to do this, they would lose plenty of consumers to the competing carriers.
