It's not perfect, it will not allow you to send or receive files (yet), but if you're fed up with bloated GUI clients, and are allready using an IRC client, it may be the best choice. At least you'll have all your chatting in one client.

Using my SIP phone as a Skype client would be nice... or does software for that already exist? Skype support in asterisk sounds interesting.
