Not sure how effective this always is. For example, I live in Pennsylvania and use Embarq DSL. However when I attempted to buy something from the Zippo site a few weeks ago, I got a message saying that they did not accept international orders! Last time a checked Zippo was located in Bradford in the same state I am in. I figure this has to do with the company using a general IP spread to block international users from certain features, in this one example they lost out on at least one sale from me and I'm sure from others who are in the same circumstances.

If we're working on making a touch screen phone more accessible to the sightless, why not ditch the screen entirely and replace it with a tactile display capable of adapting to the needs of the user? This would make it possible to still have your email or even text messages right at your fingertips - literally!

Here's a prototype that I'm sure could be improved upon and made portable given the right amount of funding.

First off, this WAS DISCRIMINATION and RACISM!...PERIOD

Actually, while this is discrimination it had nothing to do with racism. The article states nothing about their particular family origins or even their physical type other than the fact that the men have beards (which I happen to be sporting one at the moment) and the ladies were wearing head coverings (which any trip to the mall would tell you that maybe they're on to something, makeup can only help so much - I'm thinking of you, Tami Faye). While I may be making a few cheeky remarks, you're the making a fundamental error and being racist by assuming that a Muslim has to be of some other race than Caucasian. Stick with the facts delivered in the article and not your own conjecture. Ysuf Islam and Shaikh Rahmatullah al-Farooq would be rather upset to know they couldn't practice their religion just because of their racial makeup.
