In swtor you are NOT going to meet Vader, or Skywalker, Princess Leia or hang out with Yoda.
You're spot on about that.
Because the game is set well before the events in any of the Star Wars movie.
It's called "The Old Republic" for a reason.
I have played WoW, Eve, Rift and was part of the Beta for SW:ToR.
For me, one of the major differences was the Bioware feel the game had. It was engrossing. You felt a part of it.
Hell, you got quests by talking to people, not by being spoken at by people.
I just want a release date for Australia.
I have to admit, I'm a little bit excited to see our country move forward with this.
However, I will maintain a healthy level of trepidation until it actually passes.
If you have placed a SIM card in a phone, and turned that phone on, your phone company has your phone model.
Your IMEI is recorded when your handset connects to your nearest Cell tower, and is recorded with every call or txt you make.
Also, Siebel (the system that both Vodafone and Telstra use in Australia) automatically records this IMEI against your account.
With an IMEI, it is extremely easy to find out phone model.
For free.
Online.

You can see this kind of thing for yourself in Eve.
The market is primarliy player driven, which means that when you're selling or buying goods, you can set the price you want.
There's always going to be traders who will take advantage of this by having a huge buy order, asking for thousands of items at 0.01 ISK each(the currency used in-game). People who sell without looking at the prices, will automatically sell at the lowest asked price, meaing you can kiss goodbye the thousands of minerals you've spent time mining because you just sold them for pittance.
Long story short, pay attention to what you're doing or someone is gonna screw you over.
Today's life lesson.
I know, apparently you have wait years after the girlfriend has been weaned from her mother before you can take her home and start teaching her tricks.
I have a "friend" who is exactly the same as well.
However there are some games out there that will allow you to play the "full version" of the game for a limited period of time. Several months ago, my "friend" "borrowed" Sacred 2 from the internet and was able to install without activation which ran the game as a full trial.
2 weeks later my "friend" went out and bought the game full price and played happily, being able to load the save games from the "trial" version.
Every band would be much better off if they read their contracts.
Look at Dethklok, they read their contracts (at least when selling their souls to the Blues Devil, and when they're sober...).
I am an Australian older than 18, so nothing is restricted for me, but I still find the whole deal ridiculous.
Part of their reasoning for trying to ban 'violent' video games is that they are teaching us to use guns and violence against others. They are wrong.
When I was younger, I would spend many an hour playing my Super Nintendo, from Super Mario Bros. to Jurrasic Park, and i can tell you right now, it sure as hell never made me think of jumping on my enemies heads to defeat them! Or that if i type fast enough on a keyboard, I would be able to hack any computer.
And then where do they draw the line between 'realistic violence' and 'cartoon violence'?
And as someone mentioned earlier, all they are going to do is encourage piracy.
Pffft. We all know the Prothean artifacts will be found on Mars. Lets start there.

and just issue a C&D for trademark infringement. And make a press release regarding PETA's visceral presentation.

Is it sad that one of the funniest parts of the above Oblig. XKCD was the Bash.org reference in the mouseover text?

If you had to spend a week drying your phone after you took it out of the dryer, I recommend you invest in a better dryer...
This is very true, and also why GTA: San Andreas is no longer available. But do you know what I did? I found myself a 'backup'.
