Why in the world would you assume that? Lenovo didn't purchase the power pc line or even any machines that use it. They bought the line to get the thinkpad which is a damn good corporate laptop and thats about it. What about the purchase made you think that PPC or linux was Lenovos focus? Lenovo is just another Wintel Vendor, albeit one with a good laptop product.

If you honestly think in any possible alternate reality AOL would switch to firefox ..your about 3 years late. AOL has made moves recently to move to a portal base ..which means you choose your own browser. And in addition AOL Explorer which is a large part of their new "break from the client" philosophy is based on IE. ICQ is a shadow of its former self and has stagnated for years and winamp? The main developer of winamp left about a year ago. So again if we jump into the wayback machine and go to 2001 ..this arguement might make sense, but in 2005 All those brands are after thoughts in most peoples minds. Face it Netscape is dying, AOL will not switch to firefox and Winamp has had nothing new to offer anyone in some time.

Insightful? AOL divested of its contribution to Netscape a couple of years ago. While they still put out a netscape product based on mozilla they are no where near the main contributor to mozilla. Most of the main developers have long since moved on.

Actually if you RTFA you will see for 400 bucks wireless controllers are included. And 60 dollars for games is becoming pretty standard for new high desirability titles. And saying this thing is not a huge leap in technology...they went from what was a glorified P3 733 with and nforce GPU and 128 MBs of ram to 3 dual core power pcs processors and an extremely innovative ATi GPU that is actually causing some headaches in the game developer community (but then again so is the PS3). If you don't want it ..fine but those who enjoy console gaming will see the need and when the price point hits their sweet spot they will buy.
