My name is Antoine. This article brings back my school delinquent memories. I grew up in Ketchikan and went to Schoenbar Jr High ( the school in the article) in 1986. It is a small town but not that small. there are around 10,000 people in a relatively small area. at the time there were about 400 kids in the middle school and around 800 in the high school. I like that the school didn't take legal action. I am sure the kids will have consequences but most likely it will be dealt with by the school. I remember that I had some training grenades from an army surplus store that I kept in my locker. They were just an empty metal case that looked like a grenade. One time I rolled one down the hall for fun. I think I got detention for that. Imagine what would of happened now.
I grew up in Ketchikan. It is a small town on an island but the total population is not that small. it's around 10,000. In 1987 when I was attending, there were about 400 kids in Schoenbar Jr High when I was there and there were around 800 kids in the high school.
I use a ThatSit By a company called Varier.

This chair is the best chair I have ever used. I can sit in this thing all day. It provides good back support and promotes good posture. It also provides a comfortable place for my legs. Normal chairs always leave my legs shifting this way and that way or worse, using the computer tower case as a foot rest. This chair adjusts to my posture by rocking forward when I am typing (like now). The only drawback is that it makes me move forward a bit too much. the solution to this is to move the seat forward so that you rest your stomach against the desk, then it works great. It was tough to get one in the US a couple of years ago, but now I think it is easier. Another drawback, they cost $1100.00
There are several things you can do with laptops:
-picture frames
-robot control computers
-clusters
-if they run blender or other 3d programs you can use them as a render farm
-a basic browser computer for your living room
-a music computer (mp3 player) for home/car
-a terminal for a home automation system (that's what I am doing)
-start a collection
I have a Macintosh powerbook collection. I have a website at http://www.ryonix.com/powerbookmuseum/
I have over 20 Powerbooks from 1991 to 2004.
It can be a bit obsessive though. And people will want to give you desktop computers as well and you will have trouble turning them down and you will get a huge pile of junk,etc..
I use a kneeling chair called "Variable" by a company named Stokke. It's excellent for long hours at the computer. I sit on it 8 hours a day. But if you really want a top of the line kneeling chair, they make a chair called "Thatsit" which includes a back rest. I just ordered one of these. The downside is that it cost $900.00. I suggest trying one out before buying if possible.
