read "Enders Game" by F. Scott Card. describes all of this to a 'T' imho war is war...money is money and if you think the two are seperated at all you are the fool.
well this is it folks, i know i'm not the first and i hope i'm not the last to mention this BUT, this is just another warning sign that AOHell is going to fit into microsofts shoes nicelly. i love the idea of a 'netpliance' written on free OPEN code. but why does it have to take mega-corps (read AOL) to legitimize the concept? i wonder when we'll see aol/time/warner in court doing the bill gates jig?
yea i really agree with that. i don't think that you can put qualitative value on something that a person does for enjoyment. much like art, music, anything. since when was it neccesary for the real innovators to first come up with a 'practical use' of something. i always thought that was the job of the greedy blood suckers. nothing is true......everything is permitted -the old man on the mountain
Wow...That's pretty narrow minded huh? "It's not like the laws are 'evil' either." Wold you suppose that this is true for all laws, past and prsent? Lets take the obvious-slavery, prohibition etc. I believe that if you gave this case a unbiased look you would realize the unequity of treatment that Kevin recieved, both in court and in jail, is not anisolated case. The fact is that the laws that were used to jail Kevin, and countless others, really are evil by nature. They were created to suppress the many while supporting and empowering a few. I really think that you should take a closer look into this case, and into the larger legal system of the US before you spew these opinions ---nomadlogic@graffiti.net;)
yea, the irish market is booming right now. i just came from the states a few months ago and i'm amazed at how much work is here. although despite all of this work i have not been able to find any software dev. work(although i havn't been looking to hard). i'm living in galway right now and would be intersted in findign out about any software companies that are actively seeking work...right now i'm only going to be her for a little longer, a month or two, but am desperatly trying to find a job that would allow me to stay longer. if you can email me at nomadlogic@graffiti.net, that would be great. cheers!
