I completely agree. I'm in college now and my school has a heavy nursing focus. I'm surrounded by nurses most of which are of average intelligence, but they work 10 times harder than any other student, period. I'm in the same IQ range as the AC with the 146 IQ and I grasp concepts easily, but I have the drive and motivation of a bored slug. Needles to say, while I make A's in my classes, I'm usually third or fourth highest grade after some nursing student that spent 6 hours color coding her notes and studying.
I think I actually said that in my last interview.
Shortly after my former job had me saying:
"This job is definitely not worth eleven-five a year!"
The funny thing is the lines in that movie become more and more relevant as i get older.
You have corporatism and capitalism confused. Capitalism is the private ownership of the means of production. Corporatism is more in line with fascism, that is the control of the means of production through the state. Your definition of communism, as being compatible with direct democracy would also be the ownership of the means of production by the state, while the governing body would be the people through direct democracy, the force of government is still directing production, in the name of everyone. If capitalism is in line with any form of governance it would be minarchical or without governance, anarchical libertarianism, in it's purest sense.
Actually, people scorning you can cause depression, which with a fat person, would probably lead to comfort eating, which makes you fatter. I know, it happened to me when I was younger. I would get picked on, eat more, go outside less, gain more weight. Once I became older and could choose who I was around better, good friends that didn't care about my outward appearance, I was able to gain the self-esteem to develop in ways that were positive.

Our Latin teacher used that one scene to justify us watching Life of Brian in class. We got two days of Python and no work mid semester.
I just wonder though, what would being able to go up and pluck 50 tons of gold out of the sky do to the price of gold?

I live in North Carolina. Most science and technology is not welcome here.
