Well, this definitely exhibits the kindness of the gentleman. 28.8 Billion dollars is a huge amount, and the causes that it is fighting are really going to be beneficial for mankind in future.
In charity, there's no competition...if Bill Gates gave some amount, i m sure he'll be more happy if a competitor gives more thn him...after all, its for the same good cause
I think , that also by sending in space tourists, the risk of a casualty arises, as a tourist might not be able to handle a crisis in space, as good as an astronaut. Of course , he/she'll be trained, but that does not bring them to a level.
On the other side though, with the number of tourists going upto 3 and expected to be 4 now,i guess its a good idea economically, to carry someone if the money he spends is good enough to fund the project. This money would be much better than use of a taxpayer's money.
One more thing in jurassic park was the fact that, they were only producing (if i may use tht word) male dinosaurs, so that they could have a control over it.
However, as is found out, they inherit a property from another species (thing it was some frog), whose blood might have been used as a filler, and which had a property that, reproduction was still possible, and hence the dinosaurs eventually started laying eggs on their own.
