From my experience, it's been the intelligent women who often end up intimidating the men they date. I've dated several (okay, 2) women who felt self conscious when they started discussing philosophy, vertebrate biology, or whatever their interest. One in particular was afraid that if she came across as too "sciency" I wouldn't see her as the motherly caring wife material that "every man wants to end up with." Many guys also feel intimidated being with a woman they feel is more intelligent than themselves. Not me though, I married this particular scientist 6 months ago.;-)
The CCD went out on my Dimage X20 several months ago. I was pretty sure it was either the CCD because all of the menu functions worked fine and displayed fine. I was even sure it wasn't the image processor because using the digital zoom still embiggened the black pixelation. Anyway, the images came out straight black. I bought a new camera (upgraded significantly to a DSLR) and chucked the x20 in a drawer with the thought "maybe someday i'll track down a cheap CCD replacement or get an otherwise busted x20 online."
I really liked this little shirt-pocket camera and plan on having it shipped to minolta this very week!
