Actually the correct command would be something like gksudo "update-manager -c -d" from dapper. The "-c" switch isn't enough on it's own from dapper because of it's LTS nature.
Remember the net pc's that failed in the late 90's? That is pretty much what you are asking google to produce. Sounds to me like what you are asking for is actualy more of an "oh so 90s choice", no offense intended.
How can you claim that what nerds choose in terms of consuming is generally the exact opposite of what the general public does? Hello! You are using a computer aren't you? Most of us can probably remember a time when a home computer system was for nerds and the internet wasn't something regarded for public consumption.
I couldn't agree with you more. I'm not sure how this global economy situation will pan out for employees in the long term, but when companies get bigger they tend treat employees more like disposable assets then people. Alot of people don't realize that negative affects are felt in other nations then their own as well.
The whole frightens me. It seems absolutey crazy to encourage the use of nuclear fission in an atmosphere. There are to many things that can go wrong not to mention that there is no proven safe way as of yet to deal with the waste permanently. Instead of finding new ways to enrich uranium wouldn't it be better to focus on that 7 nation project to produce fusion power? Cold fusion may be a pipe dream but normal fusion isn't.
