... is the fact, that the guy behind this project is Harold Abelson, author of Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs! He described LISP "picture language" in the book as a useful learning concept. He also "...directed the first implementation of LOGO for the Apple II" which seems interesting in this case.

Check your facts better next time please.

PHP does not have to execute scripts from scratch on every request. APC cache API transparently caches JIT-compiled PHP script intepretations and these are run instead upon request.

True, but "compiled" in this context means opcode, not machine code as in Java/C# JIT.

Pretty wild to think that a rise up to 8 kelvin is a "serious overtemp event".

(And fancy CERN having all their engineering data online like that, open to everyone..... anyone'd think they invented the internet or something.)

but it only strengthens your point. I wouldn't use firefox for downloading movies either.

Actually, Firefox name is quite misleading - Firebird was better since firefox.exe is like Phoenix - it has to be killed() frequently.

Well: I'd imagine without such a big stretch of imagination that there were other factors concurrent with the tax cut.
nope. it was the only important reform made by that government. it's because (mind you, we're talking about company tax, CIT) there were many ways to avoid paying higher tax (27%), after decrease cheating stopped being profitable. moreover many enterpreneurs started paying taxes for the first time, before that they didn't do it at all. so it has also decreased the grey market share.

It is fairly rare to find any government, much less our own relatively low-tax government, which has ever received lower revenue from marginally higher taxation (or vice versa).

That's quite interesting. Could you then explain how is it possible, that in 2004 in Poland after CIT decrease from 27% to 19% (sic!) total tax revenue increased?

What's amazing is the degree to which supply-side economics resembles religion: because it is almost entirely devoid of evidence.

    And who's saying that...
