My cousin will be starting a co-op work placement of I believe 4 months at Amazon.com in Seattle. I don't know the details of what's involved with setting it up, but it doesn't seem so bad, there's a number of people from her school who will be in the Seattle area specifically at the same time. It may be that it's substantially easier to arrange this sort of thing for Canadian citizens, I don't know; but arranging a short term student placement is likely easier than a longer term placement.
The co-op work placements usually get paid a decent amount but I don't know what she'll be making for this.
I signed up for this and was able to create a page almost a month ago (Feb 27th). It seems that since then they haven't been allowing new signups. How is this new?
I'm currently in a computer science program in Canada; maybe 1 in 10 are females. Of those females, most are here on a student visa (mainly from China). I'm the only Canadian female in my year (4th) and actually can't think of a single Canadian female in years below me, although there were 2 who graduated last year.
