I find a number of things interesting here. First of all, more of the same large raid rewards from Blizzard. In other words, all that is wrong with WoW to begin with, they will magnify.
Secondly, the comments on Slashdot which make the most sense to me, i.e., those in the least bit critical of Blizzard, are typically ranked (by whatever arcane ranking system Slashdot uses, obviously a biased one) around a 2, while comments that add more "hype" to the WoW machine, fawning over the new phat loot in 1337speek, are typically given a 5.
This is much like a White House press release, where the untrustworthy news sources (Fox News, for example) simply rehashes verbatim the talking points of the administration. In this case, it's an article in the "whoop-de-do" NY Times written by, yeah, you guessed it, a hardcore uber-raider. Well...sure to expect balance there...not. He's basically just holding up the lead developer (bandit-in-thief) and giving him a podium from which to preach.
Balance is about the one thing that WoW has never had, and it's only going to get worse.
I find it interesting that my post (critical of wikipedia) was rated a troll. Typical of slashdot folks to be uncritical of their information sources and optimistically look at such naive things as "wikipedia" to objectively provide them with the truth.
Ha. Wikipedia is a piece of crap. If you trust it, you'd better get your head examined. Marginally useful if you're already an expert in an area, otherwise, steer clear to avoid the misleading and inaccurate articles therein.
One of the more sublime and grand battles going on right now is for the heart and soul of software. This battle I speak of has to do with the future vision of computing, and is, of course, the battle between closed and open source software. This is, in my opinion, a serious matter, the result of which will determine the course of events for centuries to come. Simply put, I am a hard-line open source supporter, and will endeavor to do all within my limited means to help them win this war. This includes using Linux.

I agree that things went downhill after the divestiture in 1984. Basically, you never know what you're going to get these days with the confusing array of services, pricing, and quality. Not to mention a monsterous digital divide separating the wealthy cities from the rural areas. Bravo Capitalists! You finally got what you wanted, a ruddy mess!!!

Sounds like a CONservative RepubliCON.
Druids buff for 1 hour. Why should Paladins suck so bad and only have 15 minutes? That's just plain ridiculous.
That artwork and you were looking at the date? You ok boy?
