I've got a lot on my flash drive. It's a 512 MB SanDisk Cruzer, pretty reliable.
I use it to transfer files from my internet enabled computer (downloads and such) to my main, no internet computer. I put lots of programs on it. I have Firefox, Opera, 7Zip, GIMP, among others. A flash drive is a very handy utility. I keep programs such as Ad-aware and Spybot, too.
Flash technology is amazing, and very useful. My life is on my flash drive, no joke.
This is pretty stupid.
Why did it take so long to decide this, because of religion or soemthing stupid?
As an atheist, I can look at it logically without a God interfering. Obviously, there was a chicken like creature who laid an egg. The embryo in the egg had some genetic mutations or adaptations that made the chicken we have today.
The egg hatched, and now we have the chicken.
People are so dense, eh?
I think it is perfectly fine, and Google needn't make a fuss. MSN is a Microsoft thing, and it's natural to promote it as the default, luckily it's not stuck that way.
For an easy way to see it, Microsoft will promote their own things. McDonalds will not promote the Whopper. Microsoft will not promote Google. It wouldn't be logical.
Google just needs to calm down. Plus, the search engine in Firefox doesn't have a default. It's a list of different search engines. The last one used is the last one showed. I don't use it for many things, I would normally use the Google or Yahoo Toolbar. The last thing I used the built in search for was Meriam-Webster.com and it's still there. And/not/ the default search engine.
Yes, you're right. The computers at my school have a few games, dealing with math and such, a learning program called Plato, Microsoft Office, and Internet Explorer.
Kids are interested in computers, just not how they work. They just see computers as ways to talk to friends, play games, and listen to music. I have been interested in computers since I was a small child, and started learning Python, for I hear that was one of the easiest to learn. These children are the future of the computer world, I'm sure of it, but there won't be many. Honestly, I think children are too lazy to program. It'd be something like
# u ned 2 raed the words
print "U r raeding the words"
They are too lazy to type. But, I do have do have to admit, there are a nice handful, harder to find, around that are actually interested. I find the best thing about sites like MySpace is customizing the profiles with the HTML. A few kids would actually try and learn how to do it. Most would just get a template, though. Kids are learning to be crafty, only some, using proxies and such to get on innapropriate sites at school. So, I'm not going to say all kids are uninterested. Maybe when they are older, they'll get interested, but they'll fall behind the kids who started at 13.
I think first we should focus on finding life elsewhere, not intelligent. Intelligent life would always be nice to find, but it'd be easier to find just anything living first. It'd be very hard to communicate with other forms of intelligent life because we'd speak entirely different languages, and come from entirely different places. Sure, we do that on earth, but these ETs will not be familiar with and earth things at all. The design for things can be extremely different than ours and such, so it wouldn't work out well. And imagine, we have wars between countries, but what if we had wars between planets?
But discoving many other planets is always a good thing. I think the odds of Earth being the only planet with life is very small, so we'll find some somewhere out there.
This is a good move for Google. They are increasing their services, and will catch up with Yahoo someday... We now have g-mail, google talk, and now this must be like Geocities or something.
It can't be too bad, or everyone is currently intrigued because I got an 'Oops' error because they are now limiting the number of accounts for users.
I can't wait to use it for myself, though.

Now, if we got software for our instruments, it's wouldn't be long till we had GUItars.
But seriously, I'd just use a book.
