The problem (for some) was that you could search for a relatively tame thing like "wet" or "teen" and the results would be full of explicit pictures.
I would pass time at work by putting semi-random words in GIS and seeing what would pull up. I was surprised by some of the ones that came up explicit, and surprised even more by some that did not.
NASA had a "designed by committee" project that threw in everything including redundant kitchen sinks and ended up with a bloated whale of a project that was highly impractical and utterly a failure at what it was intended to do: reduce costs.
The worst features of the Space Shuttle were put there for possible military missions, but the military looked at the final product and basically said "What were we thinking?", and continued to use rockets.
There would be a lot more little wars by small violent countries that are otherwise contained because the US sticks its nose where it doesn't belong. Think North Korea.
And when you are a start up you don't remove the biggest customer available to you just because they are the military.
Also, not sure if you noticed, but other countries who also spend money on their military tend to do very not nice things to people and you need a military to stop that so pick a side.
From what I have seen the Republicans take money from the rich to make the poor believe that the Republicans are there to represent the common working man, which is of course absolute bullshit.
The Republicans don't want to raise taxes on the rich because well, who in the hell would vote themselves a tax increase? But they are perfectly willing to tax the poor to death, since they aren't "job creators', funny how only the rich are job creators.
Crazy people doing crazy things make the news especially if that crazy person is rich and is accused of killing someone.
Now the question as to why is it on Slashdot?
Many years ago this person founded a software company, cashed out, and moved to Latin America to do lots and lots and lots of drugs. So yea, there really isn't a reason it should be Slashdot since this person has not been relevant in the Nerd fields for a very long time.
You have a job you likely do for a living, and most likely that job requires tools, if anyone can come and take your tools from you will no longer be able to do your job.
Fuck the rich, I'm talking basic getting shit done. If you cannot allocate resources to an issue, that issue will not be resolved. If anyone can take anything at any time then nothing will get done and everyone will starve.
And the Germans don't need to apologize for the Holocaust since the Jews were put to death in what was at the time a lawful process.
I'm sorry, but blaming the rules is just another way to not acknowledge just how badly they fucked him over.
There are usually key words they are paid to promote in their writings, for search purposes.
A tech support company I was working at had showers at one of their locations.
Supposedly they closed off the showers after people were taking calls in towels.

Also, it's not a conspiracy theory if there's actually conspiring a happening.
So does that mean it goes from a Theory to a Law?
You started out with a good idea, then completely turned it to shit.
If space geeks were willing to pay to go be a tourist there they would do it now while it is still active.
Or even by country. I have an HTC G2 which runs stock android, but it is sold outside the US as the HTC Desire Z with the HTC Sense installed.
Having a well funded military is a necessity.
There would be a lot more little wars by small violent countries that are otherwise contained because the US sticks its nose where it doesn't belong. Think North Korea.

Given how expensive the satellite is it would be foolish to launch it on an unproven platform.
If you really think it is a sin go find a company that wants a 5 ton satellite launched for free, with the possibility of loosing it.
You test with the unclassified stuff first that is easy to replace.
If it is tasty and easy to raise then it will be one of the last creatures to ever go extinct.
If it is tasty and hard to raise then it will be harvested to extinction.
Replace tasty with useful if you want.

I say we eat the rich and give the things they stole back to the people they stole it from.
Vive La France!
Even though I like the idea of indiscriminately killing people much better off than myself, it is just plain a bad idea.
You really only need to kill a few of them, most of them are pretty good people.
Crazy people doing crazy things make the news especially if that crazy person is rich and is accused of killing someone.

And sometimes it refuses to work in front of certain people.
Good catch.
For it to make sense he should have said "I wonder which of the others is also true."
Logic fail. 1 and 2 are mutually exclusive so they can't both be true.
True, but you didn't read closely.
It seems clear that 1 or more of 3 possibilities are the truth.
Hence not all three possibilities have to be true. Just one or two will do.
If you are going to be walking around in pale pasty skin, just walk around nude.
at night
far far away from everyone
I suggest a cave, or a basement with no windows.
Please, no pictures.
In other words, don't expect this to replace plastics unless hagfish turn out to be extraordinarily easy to farm in huge numbers.
I have no doubt that they would be ridiculously easy to farm. They may be slightly harder to farm than cockroaches.
What do they call it when they eat it in Korea?
And it is thought that the slime is there to clog up predators gills, suffocating them in bullshit.
