If oil drilling rigs can be so disguised that they aren't noticed in the middle of LA then I am sure that BT could have disguised their cabinets enough to make the snobs happy.
Figuring out the total amount of gold that has been produced by man is a little harder. To get at some kind of estimate, let's figure that the world has been producing gold at 50 million ounces a year for 200 years. That number is probably a little high, but when you figure that the Aztecs and the Egyptians produced a fair amount of gold for a long time, it's probably not too far off. Fifty million ounces * 200 years = 10 billion ounces. Ten billion ounces of gold would fit into a cube roughly 25 meters (about 82 feet) on a side. Consider that the Washington Monument measures 55 feet by 55 feet at its base and is 555 feet tall (17 x 17 x 170 m). That means that if you could somehow gather every scrap of gold that man has ever mined into one place, you could only build about one-third of the Washington Monument.
The ninth amendment is very vague, but what it says is that you retain your god given rights and the government can't take them away from you.
Basically the bill of rights listed a number of rights that they have specifically said you have, what the ninth amendment says is that you retain any rights they forgot to list.
This text is followed by 17 specific items that Congress is granted power to do, and among them is not to provide health care services
The seventeenth item is not only very vague, but also looks like a blank check to do whatever they like.
To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.
I'll agree that the Healthcare Mandate is troubling, but which portion of the Constitution specifically forbids it?
Unconstitutional doesn't mean that you are against it, it means that there is specific language in the Constitution that forbids it.
The drug seizure laws are a good example of an unconstitutional law since it directly goes against Fourth Amendment, the Supreme Court got around that by saying it applies to in-animate objects, not their owners.
I have a position that has been open for 6 months. No one has turned us down on salary because no one has presented a skill set strong enough to get an in-person interview let alone an offer.
Apparently strong network security (packet/protocol level) + network operations background + minor software development + security clearance is an impossible combination to find.
If the position has been open for six months and you have not received a qualified resume then you are doing something wrong.
It's for the workers. Having a white guy in a suit from the company contracting the work to come down and cut a ribbon or some other celebration shows the workers that they are a valuable part of the company instead of just contracted workers.
Is that so, or is it just a confirmation of what you already believed?
If knowledge about reality makes you want to kill yourself I really don't see a point in believing in a reality outside of the one that exists in my own head.

Extracting gold from sea-water will most probably become profitable long before gold synthesis will be.
Do you have any idea how much has been mined already and that production has pretty much peaked?
Probably not nearly as much as you think.

Some people are smart enough not to use BoA.
The credit union I use kicks ass.
Sounds like common sense to me.
I think what?
I'm not the one who made the general welfare argument.
I made the "if it is not in the constitution it can't be unconstitutional argument".

Ok, I'll argue against your point.
You are wrong. There may be individual Democrats who believe one way, but those are individuals.

Did you really expect the founders to come up with a list of every single thing they don't want the government to be able to do in the next millenium?
No
Instead they made a list of things the government can do. If it's not listed that means the government is not allowed to do it.
Did you really expect the founders to come up with a list of every single thing they want the government to do in the next millenium?
Does it specifically state that they do not have the authority to implement the healthcare mandate?
They reward logical thought.

Practice problem solving in a simulated world.
The laws that are the most unconstitutional are the drug seizure laws from Reagan.
What laws did Democrats pass that you think are unconstitutional?
Did you ever go back and get your GED?
Also how long ago was it that you were hired by the telephone company as a high-school dropout?

If you read a paper that you found interesting wouldn't you want a way to find more papers from that individual?
This isn't about statistics, it's about use and the confusion of names. It's about making your job easier if you are a researcher.
If this program runs long enough for this to be an issue then it would have to be very very successful for many hundreds of years.

Why is it that every psychologist I've ever met was much crazier than their patients?
Well, whats wrong with a crazy psych? At least they are experienced.
It's those real sane ones that suck, they don't know how to relate to their patients.
