Speaking of marketting flacks, I once heard both music and sound effects from the game Apeiron on a commercial for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I only saw it once, and no one believed me. I couldn't have been the only one, will someone confirm this? It may have been made by the local station, channel 46 in Atlanta
That's not the only one. I was watching some pop-'net show (PBS?) and they used music from Barrak (one of my fave wastes of time). Anybody else have another Ambrosia audio sighting... err, hearing? -----
"For instance, why can't I setup my wife's MAC to have two DNS servers? Because 99.9% of Mac users don't have a home network in addition to their dialup connection."
Sorry, wrong. I've got three name servers, and can enter all three.
There may be a *BSD for PPC, also.
Yep - Darwin, the open portion of the core of the forthcoming Mac OS X client. I think it's part of the OpenBSD tree, but it may be NetBSD.

I can't help but think the first manufacturers who start making _good_ black equipment are gonna make a killing...
Yeah, NeXT is making a killing alright.
I don't know why everybody seems to think this rumor is early fact - so far, I haven't seen any source to backup the initial story on news.com.
Rumors and speculation are just that - and if they don't pan out, blame the rumor mongers, not the subjects of hearsay.

What are you doing wrong?
