  1. I spoke with an Ebay Employee and the truth is... on The root of all eBay's troubles · · Score: 1

The Truth is that the Oracle Database got corrupted but this was because of an NT Server fronting the pages. The ThunderStone (Texis) peice was still running..and you can test this by doing a search on Ebay. Texis RDBMS Runs on the same Solaris Box that Oracle runs on. Solaris is running fine and still keeps running flawless. The Oracle/NT RPC via HTTP calls to the database is what caused the problem..not SOLARIS

Yeah and lets all follow that loser Steve Jobs who gives false hope of putting OSX server out for Intel boxes and then changes his mind at the End because he thinks he can sell more G3 boxes.

He deserves to get it from behind again from the Intel users world.

    Look,
If it was not for RedHat, do you honestly think that the Big Players,eg..Oracle,HP,Compaq, would have invested in Slackware ot Caldera. Please!!

If it were not for REDHAT there would ne more shareware and less Inovation in Linux and we would ALL be using Slackware and still be using OPENLOOK or FVWM

    WAKE UP

  5. Typical Bastards on Microsoft claims Linux provides weak value · · Score: 1

They did it to NDS..until they copied novell, they did it to Sun until they stole their JVM. Those bastards at Microsoft dont know their ASS from a HOLE in the ground and they would not know a scaleable OS for the desktop if it bit them in the ASS. They should have taken MOnicas place since they suck so good.

  6. Different Kind of Monopoly? on Is Red Hat becoming too powerful? · · Score: 1

RedHat could be a diferent kind of monopoly that we have not seen yet..an open source monopoly. I think that this stems from the RPM format in packaging filez, though I think RPMS are easier as long as the dependencies match up. I think that in the future we will see the RPM packaging format become a standard. I think Redhat will be just one of many distributors yet to come. Wait until the bigger companies get involved. Go!!!! SUSE

This sound like a true press moron. He makes linux sound like a Sony Playstation. I hope linus reads this press release. He probably wont say anything to the writer but somebody should.

  8. could you be more specific about 5.2 instability? on Red Hat 6.0 and Arm? · · Score: 1

I think that you segmentation faults were probably related to your dev kernel and not to 5.2 as a scratch OS(2.0.36). I have done the same with gnome .992 and .993. I did have some problems with failed dependencies of the Imlibs but I think this was a bug with .992. I did'nt have this problem with .993. You might also want to check your hardware compatibility and memory.
