    Mathematics lecture is done differently than almost any other subject....I always listen to the teacher when I am taking a class, and never take notes.....except for my mathematics courses. When I had those, I would always work through the examples the teacher provided and point out the pitfalls he/she would point out when doing something complex.

    It is about engagement when you are in class....if you can engage while writing down what the teacher is saying... great....otherwise, it is better to listen and watch.

    If they were going to keep the U-2 around that long, they should have commissioned teh SR-71 and we could have had a much more effective machine for the last 30 years.

    Perhaps he bought one thing, they built another and due to a setting in some routers, they discovered that if you bring one part down, everything else comes down? To me that is not something the CTO would just be able to see and if the state did not have any Cisco engineers to validate the work of the contractor, then he had to take the contractor's word for it.

    That is pretty bad, but I would have to understand how it came to that rather than assume Northrop Grumman provided him with a list of network topologies and he picked the one with a single point of failure.

    uhh.... it is absolutely NOT mainframe computing. GRID computing, AKA cloud computing, is not even close to time-slice based timeshare processing with dumb terminals connected to the mainframe on a LAN.

    anyway... I am talking more about the actual tech....not the computing model.

    Most of the best and relevant search signals are social....if you properly curate your graph with people who give information that you find valuable.

    I think you are mistaking institutional law from mob law. What those people did was not legal, but there was nothing in place to protect the man from the mob because the mob knew they would not be punished by the local authorities (like the racist actions taken against Black people in the south before the civil rights movement forced the federal government to step in). Their institutional values are different, and those values are putting this man in prison for what he said, but that is no different than speech related imprisonment we have seen in other countries for non-religious reasons.

    There is always a need for local software for photos and video....If google does not want to maintain said software, that is fine, they will just need to maintain a publishing plugin for the software that replaces it.

    What that says is she attending a meeting as the US Secretary of state where a bunch of Islamic governments discussed anti-blasphemy laws....that is not the same thing as her supporting those laws.

    but... he is pro-abortion so he would be forcing them to abort their babies and then take the products of conception to a lab so the mad scientists can use their processes to extract Embryonic Stem cells for use in their in human experimentation to further the cause of headless human clones for use with organ transplant.....
