I thought the point of regulatory agencies with powers like the FCC was because tehy could set rules for industry that are very easy to change based on market conditions. Why The F--K do the conservatives and the media whore democrats think passing laws is a good thing? oh... because they have to have something to do while fucking up the internet (protect IP) and access (laws restricting Net Neutrality rules, and this garbage)
because one compiles to Objective-C and the other compiles to Dalvik... you think the work involved in those separate platforms should not be compensated? They could bundle them together and just double the price of the product.
The amount of exploitation will vary based on how stupid the engineers are when they design it. if the mesh network is separate from direct control of the car then there is little that could be done to affect the driver of a car directly.
exploit what? I guess a hacker could send out a false signal, giving bad information to the cars on the road.
As long as there is not a uniquely identifiable value for your car that is persistent from day to day, I do not see a problem with knowing if a car a half mile ahead is stopped and what direction that traffic ripple is going.
If the data is scrubbed and not executable and the security system of the car is not tied to this network, then there is not really any exploitability
my name is my email and it is not public....and I just turned off the visibility of my networks under "network visibility" in "profile and privacy" on G+
In the G+ settings click profile and privacy, then click "edit visibility on profile". At the bottom is "Search Visibility". Click it and change the value.
Google's TOS say that the user owns the copyright to all the material uploaded so I fail to see how they are going to use anything you produce for the things you mention without getting your permission.
what the FUCK are you talking about circles being hard to setup? drag person into some predefined circle... cool animation... they are added to the circle.... click "create circle" and I can build a custom circle with my own custom name.
Now... try and find the FB lists and find how I can post a status update that filters to only one or more of those lists... yeah... not happening.
10 minutes on G+ and I had circles and a number of other features nailed down.
My only complaint about the site... e-mail notification should not be set by default for people that you have placed in your following circle. I laced a comment on one of Leo Laporte's posts and I had 40 e-mail notifications in about 10 minutes because of the people who commented after me.
That looks like an incomplete feature at this point. (pre-release... remember?) but google+facebook provides a browser extension that gives you a facebook tab in google+ right next to the home button in the Google+ interface.
China is very capitalist and has been for the last decade. They have a totalitarian government.
Most of western and northern Europe would be considered a socialist system by any God fearing American Republican, yet they are all very strong democracies and have been since the early 20th century.
So... now that I have used actual examples that prove you are wrong, perhaps you can pull your head out of your ass.
you are a naive anarchist pal. Corporate governance is going to eat you up and when you look around to redress your grievances, a wonderful thing called forced arbitration will be thrown in your face where the judge is paid by the company to rule in the companies favor.
So... a system of regulations that tells ISPs they are not allowed to filter traffic that favors their services over any other service and can not charge external service providers money for access to the customers of ISPs is some how bad because somewhere in there the boogie men of the RIAA/MPAA are setting up an infrastructure that will get you?
how would they be almost indistinguishable? They were more muscular, stockier, and had very prominent orbital ridges.

you have no fucking clue what you are talking about.

and hackers become murderers.

WTF are you doing on slashdot!!! Get the fuck out of here you poser.
Alien Apocalypes... that made for Sci-Fi movie with Bruce Cambell and the chick who was on ER for a single season?
I loved that movie... it reveled in its low budgetness...just like Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2
"Evil Dead 2" and "Army Of Darkness" were horror films?
You must have been born in 1995.
the first part should be "my username" rather than "my name"

having a private invite only project is publishing a product? are you a fucking moron?
you are a naive anarchist pal. Corporate governance is going to eat you up and when you look around to redress your grievances, a wonderful thing called forced arbitration will be thrown in your face where the judge is paid by the company to rule in the companies favor.
How the fuck does that even make sense?

So, you are in favor of getting rid of police officers too then? They are regulators as well you know.
