and if the market was no a bunch of local monopolies or duopolies then I would have no problem with your sentiments, but how about you free market fools pull your heads out of you asses and stop pounding the screw (monopoly markets) with your hammer (free market theory).
WTF are you talking about? I don't care if it is iOS, Android, WebOS, or WP7... if I want to get persistence and notification on any of those platforms, then I have to have a native app for that platform... there is a reason gTalk on iOS sucks ass... it is a web app and can not push communications or availability status if it is not loaded in the foreground.
Considering it makes sense for a newspaper to use a development model that does not support Push Notification and deep integration with the OS... how is moving from apps to HTML 5 a ding on the Apple development system?
If they open it up to App development, then it is going to rock the crap out of any of the devices in that space.
Oh... and.mac/Mobile Me are the same product and have morphed into the iCloud services which, according to everyone who has looked at them... are pretty damn good.
Just because it is a right does not mean you get handed the access.... I have a right to keep and bear arms...did the government hand me a rifle or hand gun? NO.
A right to internet access means that if I pay to have the access, it can not be taken from me with out due process of law. (I.E. no 3 accusations and you are banned for life) and given that, I can not be banned from having access for the remainder of my life and more than likely, given the types of violations that would cause sanctions, the law would simply be able to reduce my connection speed tot he point that circumventing copyright would be impossible (think... dial up)....That is IF I CHOOSE TO EXERCISE THE RIGHT FOR AN INTERNET CONNECTION.
how much energy is passed to the wheels of a car using an ICE? How much load would there be on the power grid to charge cars over night? How far can you get on a charge up car before you are out of luck? how long will it take to recharge that car?
This tech allows for the efficiency of electric cars on the road in terms of power that reaches the road, easy refueling, unlimited range, and no power grid impact.
Even though the energy conversion is not perfect, it is a better product that what we have on teh road right now and will last us a hell of a lot longer than what we have on the road right now.
it truly is about automotive uses... I would like to point out though, coal gas, used in a fully electric car would end up being a lot more efficient in terms of power that hits the road than any ICE engine right now and coal gas could replace foreign and most domestic oil and reduce the load on the power grid for full electric cars to nothing
No one gives a shit about the media conglomerates and the ISP Monopolies that threaten the Internet economy, but google tailoring search to their end user's habits to make the searches more reliant is some how a bad thing for the market?

Uhh... iCloud will crush google.... for one reason alone...iTunes Match.
It will look like crap, run like crap and take over your entire PC to make windows work like crap.
Did you miss adjective "UnPaid" in his sentence with respect to the types of internships being discussed? There are paid internships too.
Let me try this again.... CLOSED beta is not a release moron.

Facebook is a site crammed full of shit that leaks my data to games that my friends are using.

Apple TV is actually pretty good.

Good luck on that one. Corporation v. Community... Corporation will win every time.

You really think the EPA would allow car to exhaust that crap? Besides that... the Fuel Cell would get wreaked by those materials.

I don't think you know what the term "peak" means.
