Could the USA actually grow enough corn to power all its cars?
I'm sure someone is in a position to work this out quickly (or already knows the answer) so I will defer trying to calculate it for myself.
From a personal note that would be amazing - the rest of us would pay far less.

To be honest though if you wrote something the size on Windows perfectly it would still seem like it had bugs to a decent portion of users simply by virtue of the number of different system configurations it had to run on. Add to that the fact that humans *always* make mistatkes I would say that for a large software development project it is essentially impossible to be bug free.
But regarding windows patches; You say that windwos patches don't come in alpha or beta but wasn't there a windows patch not so long ago that broke VPN - not so great for corporate users.
