  1. Re:Just in time for Christmas? on Fighting Android Sparring Partner · · Score: 1

That Twilight Zone episode was the first image that popped into my head as well. I just wonder what next year's model will be able to do.

  2. Re:Godwined in the summary? on Sober Attack on 87th Anniversary of the Nazi Party · · Score: 3, Funny

Come on, I heard that this new Sober variant was going to start by targeting .pl, then moving on the rest of Europe, and then go worldwide.

  3. Re:It's about time on Researchers Want Right to Bypass Protected Spyware · · Score: 1

"LAW ENFORCEMENT, INTELLIGENCE, AND OTHER GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES - This section does not prohibit any lawfully authorized investigative, protective, information security, or intelligence activity of an officer, agent, or employee of the United States, a State, or a political subdivision of a State, or a person acting pursuant to a contract with the United States, a State, or a political subdivision of a State. For purposes of this subsection, the term `information security' means activities carried out in order to identify and address the vulnerabilities of a government computer, computer system, or computer network." If there was a contract with a government entity (the DoD), then I think its legal, and you could discuss it with the DoD.

  4. Hydrogen Embrittlement!!! on Truckers Choose Hydrogen Power · · Score: 1

Nobody is disobeying thermodynamics. The injection of hydrogen improves the efficency in burning the hydrocarbon == less fuel used. The reason that nobody has used a system like this before is that the burning of hydrogen leads to making the iron and steel inside the engine brittle == catostrophic engine failure. I think these truckers will be in for a rude surprise down the road. (Bad pun possibly intended) For the truely dedicated: http://www.knovel.com/knovel2/Toc.jsp?BookID=776
