I wasn't speaking specifically to *just* the Kernel.... there's Firefox, Open Office, Evolution and so on. Each requiring patches/updates most seem to be fixing some sort of security vulnerability. Some requiring a reboot.
I am considering moving back to Vista, I have a pretty plain install of Ubuntu but almost daily there are a least 4 or more security updates that need to be installed. Then the system usually requires a reboot for the updates to take effect.
Heck, at least Microsoft is only one Tuesday a month and you get them all at once.
