Sorry to burst your bubble, Vonage has made it a requirement, at least in Canada, that if you want to use their 911 service, that you provide your street address on a page under account information so they know which center to connect you to.
That's true, but DC doesn't travel well, but I'm not sure on the figures. Either way, it loses more than AC, hence why wall power is AC, but I can't see there being much loss from one end of a data center to the other, the losses come from miles of cabling. So.. bring on the DC!

Oh no. Now Microsoft will be suing the OSF because they invented "open software" first. Next they'll be making people pay to license free software.
