What's up with "First Post" comments?
"First Post" comments are one of those odd little memetic hiccups that come out of nowhere and run amok. Basically, people with altogether far too much spare time sit and reload Slashdot, hoping that they will get the "First Post" in a discussion. This is one of those things that the moderation system was designed to clean up, and for the most part, it works. "First Post" comments usually get moderated down as off-topic almost instantly.
This all seems to be leading undoubtedly towards some kind of science-run world where Dr.Frankensteins make monsters out of stem cells. Man shouldn't have that power!
Oh brilliant. Train the future of the US in the use of nuclear arms and indoctrinate them that nuclear "is the only way"? Lies, lies, lies, and all down to big business as usual.

They should outlaw drug testing in vivo altogether. We have computer simulations, use them! Test the drugs on the scientists!
